As Tina said to Mike Chang on last night's episode ("Never Been Kissed") of GLEE:

“With those abs, you could be my very own situation.”

Not sure where this picture is from ... but it has been making the rounds, so wasn't really planning on posting it... but then that line from Tina made me reconsider... and have to admit I am getting hits on the first picture/post from a couple of weeks ago, so what the heck!

Mark Ballas - Hot (Damn) Baked Alaska

Despite being a long-time fan of Mark Ballas (my first - and only - shirtless Mark Ballas post, goes all the way back to October 2007 with dance partner Sabrina Bryan.. and still, to this day, gets a lot of hits), given my political leanings, I never ever imagined that I would vote Mark and partner Bristol Palin, but alas last night I did.. even though I knew that Mark taking off his shirt was a shameless ploy for votes... but, hey it worked!

Though to be honest and bi-partisan, I didn't think the dance was as bad as judges rated it.  Granted Bristol and family have pretty much chased the spotlight (and/or the spotlight chased them), but with not even a reality show under her belt, she is probably one of the most "real", non-celebrity/non-peformers that has ever been on the DWTS... and 19 years old no less, so again, I though she did pretty well.. then again, I could have just been blinded by Mark's body... which seems a bit more buff these days.

ABC.com made doing screen caps a bit tricky as when you hit pause it goes to a static ad instead of "freezing" the abs action, so had to do these on the fly... but think they came out pretty well!

Well, Hello Rafa!

Apologies to whoever I "borrowed" this photo from, but I have no doubts it will spread like wildfire across the Interwebs... but a most certainly shirtless shot of Rafa from Hello! Magazine

Rafa always come across so modest and shy that it always kind of surprises me to see these posed shirtless/beefcake pix... not that I am complaining by any means!

Fernando Verdasco: Tongue Thai'd

I had planned to try and do a book post today since yet again I have fallen behind, but then these pictures cropped up on my radar this morning... and, oh well!

It seems like every year at the men's tennis tournament in Bangkok they have some player go and participate in a Thai boxing "exhibition"... which translates to a bunch of pictures of some tennis pro just wearing some boxing shorts (here's a link to Jo Wilfried Tsonga's pix from 2008).  Needless to say when I saw this year's volunteer, I was quite happy.  Granted Rafa Nadal is making his Thailand debut, but he was too busy planting trees... but no worries as his considerably less modest countryman (he tweeted links to these photos!), Fernando Verdasco, was up for this year's boxing lessons:

Also making a shirtless appearance (lower right) is Paradorn Srichaphan, Thailand's most successful men's tennis player who sadly had his career cut short due to injury.

It appears Singha beer sponsored this little event... and while I do get a bottle of it every time we go to our favorite Thai restaurant, I will be sure to raise a glass and thank them for this year's exhibition.

No surprise over the double-take/TiVo replay moment from last night's Season 2 premiere of GLEE:

Certainly no complaints about Mike Chang, played by Harry Shum Jr., getting up'd to series regular for this season.

Shum has quite the exotic background... an American with Chinese parents born in Costa Rica!  And just in case you were feeling a bit dirty lusting after a high school student, no worries.... Harry is 28 years old (b. 1982), only 4 years younger than his "teacher" Mr. Shuester/Matthew Morrison!

Oil Spill Hunk

I was just innocently doing my multi-daily review of Yahoo! news and this picture related to the Gulf oil spill certain got my attention.

A fisherman holds up an oil-stained buoy that washed up on the beach at South Pass near the mouth of the Mississippi River on May 14 near Venice, La. Oil continues leaking out of the Deepwater Horizon wellhead as BP continues to work on containing the massive spill in the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana coast.

Allan Wu Hoo!

Even though Amazing Race wasn't on last night, thought I'd still go back to the previous week's episode that featured an appearance by the host of The Amazing Race Asia, Allan Wu.

You may recall Wu was on hand to pass a clue off to the racers while they were traveling through Singapore.  I certainly wasn't blind to the fact that Wu was quite attractive...

But thanks to my buddy Jeff who suggested I do an image search on Wu, I certainly didn't realize all the "hubba hubba" that was really going on!  So here's you Monday eye-opener!

Wu is a Singapore-based Chinese-American and a graduate of UC Berkeley and is 38 years old (as of this writing).  No surprise that he is has modeled and also aced (a bio lists him as "Singapore’s one and only hunkalicious action hero").

This is only a small sampling of pix.  If you liked to see more it's as easy as typing his name into an image search... there are so many of the variety, that you don't even have to add in the world "shirtless" (though I will still do my search whore hit hint here and now: Allan Wu Shirtless)...

Justin Gaston Shirtless 2010

I stumbled onto the picture below a couple of months ago and I am glad I kept it as it now comes in handy as Justin Gaston dueted with former contestant Brooke White last night on Idol.

Justin is still trying to find his way into the music business.  I first became aware of him on Nashville Star (here's a link to my eye-candy post about him back then) but even with his good looks he didn't last too long there.  Next up, he gained fame by dating Miley Cyrus, but that didn't do much either other than elevating him to boy-toy status.  Also, he has been in the background as a football player on Glee, but not sure he's had a speaking part on the show.  Last night, it was mentioned that now he is part of some Web/Internet-based talent show, which doesn't exactly sound like a ticket to stardom either... so his appearance on Idol last night seems to be his biggest "get" to date, though ending up on the short end of the vocal stick vs. Ms. White, IMHO not the strongest vocalist Idol has ever seen, is probably not such good news either.

I am sure your eyes have wandered down already, so I was not totally surprised with Justin's new look. I'm guessing with this latest attempt at a music career, he wants to step away from the boy-ish/twink, clean-cut look that served him so well in his modeling career (again you can check out my first post about him or just do an image search on him and believe me you'll get an eyeful!)... while not so much a fan of the longer hair (tho hardly "throw out of bed" territory), it is at least nice to see that he's not worried about shaving the rest of the bod! 

So enjoy... some things are better seen, then heard!

The Art of Short Track

No April Foolin' here... I'm delivering the goods today!

Nearly a month ago I did a Hunks of Vancouver post and received a comment (Thanks Loraine, if you ever find your way back here!) letting me know the source of one of the photos I used in that post, more often than not, I simply "borrow" these photos from a simple Google/Yahoo search and really never know their origin. 

While I thought the pic of short track speed skater JR Celski in his undies (again, check out the Vancouver post) had an artistic flair to it (certainly not a pre-shower, dirty mirror iPhone pic!), again, thanks to Loraine I learned it was Ewoud Broeksma, who does these incredible sports photographic portraits that show off the human body at its peak. 

Here are few more. In order: Apolo Anton Ohno, JR Celski (from the same shoot of that original photo), and a member of what seems to be the first family of Canadian short track, Francois Hamlin. His brother Charles was the big medal earner in Vancouver, but Francois did take home a gold as a member of Team Canada in the 5000m relay.

Here's a link to a lot more... just a friendly warning, that much like Francois, the non-Americans in particular do not have (m)any qualms about taking it all off... but it is all very tasteful and (I think!) there is really nothing risque-r than a butt.
