We Love Cloris

We love Cloris Leachman on Dancing With the Stars!

One of the great things about this show (and even American Idol) is it is one of those cross-generational shows.. the kind where we can chat about them with our parents and sometimes even our younger family members. 

This past weekend we had our first chance to talk to our parents about this season of DWTS.  I predicted that my mom would either enjoy Cloris or not (she is often a "black or white" person), while we were thinking that Todd's parents might be a bit more amused by her.  While there are similarities, one of the fun things for me is that Todd's parental units are a lot more outgoing (well, mine can be... but in a different way... but anyhow...)

But to our mild suprise and amusement, they both can't stand her.  Todd's mom went so far to threaten a DWTS boycott until Cloris is ousted... while my mom is not a big "bawdy" aficionado.

While it certainly would be a travesty if Cloris won a "dancing" competion, we still hope she sticks around for awhile just for the pure entertainment value... and reminding us what fun "live" television can be, even it is with a 5-second delay and enough time to bleep "Oh, you bitch" to Carrie Anne Inaba's score of a 5... and not bleeping that "hostess with the least-est," Samantha Harris, can't add to 16 ("they're so stupid here")... or wondering when a show-mance is going to start up with her partner Corky Ballas.  On a side note, we have to admit it is totally throwing off our crush on Mark to have his sound-a-like ... and guessing future look-a-like (and much more age-appropriate for us!) dad around!

While the cast is pretty good this season, Cloris is certainly the reason the tune in for the time being... and we can't wait to see what she will do tonight!
