It's been over a month since I dished up some "eye candy"... so figured that thing have been a bit over-reflective and philosophical of late, figured it was time to lightening it up for this Friday.
First up we have David Muir -- pretty much a nightly fixture as a correspondent on ABC World News Tonight. Whether working the suit... or, as seen below, in jeans and an opened collared dress shirt...

David is hot, hot hot. And stop looking at that worn-out part of his jeans!
After many of his segments, there has been many an occasions where I honestly could not tell you what he just reported on... but it was either about famine or rising gas prices? * sigh - swoon *
Just the other night, David had a report and that was followed by one from another new cute-ish ABC reporter, Ryan Owens (couldn't find any pictures that did him justice, but think "younger brother of Peter Krause")... and after that one-two eye candy punch... much to Todd's bemusement... I said aloud "I think David and Ryan should kiss"... ha!
Next, it will probably come as no surprise that we're watching the reality show The Greatest American Dog. Not Masterpiece Theater or even "good" reality TV, but it is harmless summer fun entertainment... and you gotta love the dogs. The owners on the other hand are a different story!
We laughed when the very first dog that was kicked off the show was a Boston Terrier named Ezzie (short for Esmerelda)... and on top of that, his owner Michael was Gay (not the capital G)... so apparently we have a gay breed of dog. Much like I was unaware that a MINI Cooper was the gay car until I ordered one, I have likewise been surprised how many Bostons are likely the only heterosexuals in their household. Ezzie actually did pretty good, far better than our Rocky. We love him, but he's very spoiled...
We particularly enjoy Tillman the English Bulldog... can only stand Beth Joy and Bella Scarlett (Bella Scarlett is the dog), because we could only imagine how Molly Shannon would impersonate her... but alas, no reality show would be complete without the hunk...
Given much the rest of the cast, the focus was more on the dogs and interesting "personalities"... but Travis and his boxer Presley, was pretty much human that raised an eyebrow with us during the premiere. His bio list him as a 29-year old bartender and former Oklahoman now living in Los Angeles and pursuing... wait for it... and acting career! What a surprise! Oodles of people apparently think appearing on a reality show is a stepping stone to that...
Anyhow, in last night's episode the editors did their best to set-up a potential show-mance between Travis and Laura... and fortunately for us, that involved a a trip to the mansion's swimming pool.

And thanks to CBS.com for putting up the episodes to allow one to get some screen caps!
What makes it better (or worse) is that he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Granted some of the other owners are a bit frustrated by "golden boy" status - the good look plus a good/successful relationship and experience with Presley. And he even go choked up the other week when talking about "if anything happend to Presley" -- so what's not to love (and I think that was sincere, as I really don't think he's that good of an actor).
Happy Friday and Have A Great Weekend!

Well, hello! Am I going to have to start watching the evening news again? *scheduling the TiVo now* :)

We have known Travis all his life. Travis is REAL....He is the genuine nice person you see. There is no "put on", no "acting" about him in real life. We watched the final showing of "Greatest American Dog' last evening and were not one bit suprised that Travis and Presley won!! It is refreshing to see good things come to good people!! "Fame and good fortune" will not change this home town boy from Perry, Oklahoma! He comes from a family of good down to earth, hard working people that value who they are and where they came from.....

I just wanted to congratulate Presley and Travis. I was very impressed with the performance of both owner and pup. The humility that Travis showed when it was announced that he won showed me that he is a true person and not "acting" for the camera. It was obvious that his pride in Presley for how far he had come was his number one feeling. I have a 7 month old black lab (Indigo) and each of his new acomplishments brings me great joy. Congratulations again. I was pulling for you from day one.
