China Syndrome, Part 2

If my first compilation of fun stuff about the Olympics wasn't enough, here's the latest:

Rogge says Olympics in 'crisis'

Here's some of what the IOC President had to say:

"Athletes in many countries are in disarray and we need to reassure them. Our major responsibility is to offer them the games they deserve. We have 120 days to achieve this."

"I've said that it is very easy with hindsight to criticize the decision (awarding the games to Beijing).  It's easy to say now that this was not a wise and a sound decision."

IOC confident of Beijing Olympic security despite terror threat

Ministry of Public Security spokesman Wu Heping told reporters the terrorist group "plotted to kidnap foreign journalists, tourists, and athletes during the Beijing Olympics and, by creating an international impact, achieve the goal of wrecking the Beijing Olympics."

Maybe it's time to take a little break from reading these stories...
