I'm quite a bit surprised that you haven't seen this movie yet. While I'm not sure how old you guys are, for people my age(50-ish)it's a wonderful movie. Julie Taymore's new interpretaions of some of the greatest songs ever written simply blew me away. There are a couple of times during this movie when I actually froze. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen and I was soooo happy with my home theater system. When you watch it, crank it! Esp. during "I Want You/She's So Heavy" The metaphores are OUTSTANDING! Be sure and buy the double disc set with all the bells and whistles. The guy who plays Max was cast in spite of the facts that this is a musical and he's not a singer! Hard to believe. I couldn't hit some of those notes if you crushed my hand in a car door. Unbelieveable! The ONLY bad thing about this movie, that I can think of is that Selma Hayek is only on screen for about 52 seconds, and in one of the best song of the movie. Try and spot the other performers in cameo roles.
By the way, your trip to China for he summer games - crazy cool. Totally awsome! Hope you bought the good camera cuz we all want to see lots of pictures.
I'm not proofing this so any typos that are in it, well, its late and I just don't give a shit. Sorry .

just wanted to say that I haven't seen this movie yet, but that was quite possibly the best cover of 'Let It Be' I have ever heard. Thanks for sharing!!
