Chubby Buddies

It was a crazy work day, so just getting around to writing a little something now ... though not the post I was planning on... so we'll just save that for another day. 

Toby had a pretty decent weekend particularly since he was given what amounted to a death sentence last week... so while we were happy that he seemed to have perked up, we're also trying not to read too much into it.

I ran to the vet today (like I haven't been there enough!) to get Toby more food and also make an appointment with his usual vet at the end of the week... since Toby wasn't making this trip, I decided to take Rocky along so he can get his bordatella vaccine... and since we were out ... decided to stop at PetsMart with him...

I couldn't pass up getting a couple of new toys... particularly these...

Chubby Buddies?!  Yikes, that sounds a bit dirty don't you think?  But it's really nothing new when it comes to dog toys... the "Kong" dog toy pretty much looks like something right out of an adult boutique (apparently there's now "Extreme Kong" and "Kong Balls"... I am not making this up!).... and heck if NBC lets My Name Is Earl get away with calling Catalina's strip joint Club Chubby... then I guess it's okay if Rocky has some Chubby Buddies.

These were particularly appealing because they are advertised for "moderate and strong chewers" ... and the front let's up practice our French "Le jouet en peluche avec un ventre durable"... translation: "the plush toy with a durable belly!"   Hmmm... I don't think that phrase will come in handy on our trip...  now, knowing how to say Chubby Buddy... maybe!

So we'll see what happens to these... you may remember what happened last time!

Did you know you guys have Redbox in your area? Apparently in Phoenix they're located at Walgreens, here in Colorado Springs they're at McDonalds. You can rent dvds for a buck a day. Its so easy, totally automated and they have most new titles, including Across the Universe. Check out the titles and locations at redbox.com.
Seems like you guys could use a few smiles, you know, other than turning Rocky into a Chubby Chaser.
