It's Been A Rocky Year
No, I am not talking about the "tone" of the year...
Guess who's been with us for 1 year!?!
While the "date" anniversary is officially tomorrow, it was a year ago this very February Friday that we were just hours away from picking up our new Boston Terrier puppy in a McDonalds parking lot on the north edge of town... as you well know, if you're a regular... after much debate, we named him Rocky.
As with most things in life, it is both hard to believe and not hard to believe that it's been a year... time certainly has flown, but it's hard to remember him not being a part of our lives.
He is really quite the character and the antithesis of Basset Hound Toby in pretty much every way -- which is a good or bad thing depending upon the minute hour day... all in all, a very happy and energetic pup... though more energetic that I think either of us imagined... which tends to cause a stir at the dog park (this past Sunday, he was called "feisty" when he wasn't "scaring" dogs 4x his size) and the pet resort (last visit, he apparently needed "time outs").
He has earned a few nicknames over the past year. Lately, we enjoy calling him Barocky Obama (made uber-politically incorrect when I noted it was particularly suitable as he is mostly black with a little white too)... but no worries, in our increasingly deflating but still pro-Hillary household, he also is referred to as Little Rock... granted it is 99% due to his size, but we still like to think of it as a bit of an homage to the Junior Senator from New York's Arkansas connections.
Happy 1st Anniversary Rocky! I think you found a pretty good home (if I do say so myself)!

It's seems like just yesterday you were such a tiny little thing. Wait... it was yesterday, and you still are tiny today.
