Yes, the sound you here is the almost sound of silence.
I dropped off Todd at the airport this morning... he is on another semi-lengthy trip out of the country and will not be back until late next week (either Thu/Fri the 22nd/23rd)... so it is a pretty empty house as the only other living entity that has the ability to talk to me away.
So, I have my challenge of keeping myself occupied during this time. Work was really crazy after getting back from vacation, but now it has returned to more normal levels... so that'll keep me busy part of the time. Otherwise, I think it will be a lot of reading and some television watching...
Yes, I said some! Our TiVos are at shockingly low levels. Last night, we were down to one "page" on our main TiVo... and that included the "rows" for TiVoSuggestions, Recently Deleted, and our other TiVo! As of this morning, we have 84 suggestions... an all-time record! So I can not even rely on TiVo all that much... I have recorded a boatload of movies on our secondary TiVo, so I am sure I will be moving them on over and watch some of those.
And even things have been a little quiet here on W&C... well, not me ... I have been engaging in my usual babbling... but [start whine] my comments have really dropped off... in approximately 20 entries over two weeks I have scraped up only 5 or 6 comments... I have my paranoia-laden theories of the reasons why, but I'll just keep those to myself, for fear of sounding just a tad off-balanced! [end whine]
So, bear with me over the next couple of weeks...there will likely be a good deal of chatter!

As the crickets are going in Phoenix. :) We might be getting a visit from cousin Hurricane Alberto in Florida. We shall see. Surely can use the rain!
Hopefully the comments pick up. Thought I'd be a first one.

While I may not always leave a comment, I do look forward to your daily posts. Since you enjoyed reading the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, I have a book recommendation for you. Brendan O'Carroll has a series of 4 books telling the life of growing up Irish and poor. However, these are very funny (Brendan is an Irish comic) Start off with "The Mammy" and work your way through "The Chislers" "The Granny" and "The Young Wan" They are about 200 pages each, and you can usually find them on Amazon. Buy the used versions and you can save a lot of money. Enjoy!

See what happens after a little whine? I am very curious as to your theories. I have been enjoying your posts daily, but, I'm spending less time online and more time watching World Cup Soccer these days. Do you know they often exchange shirts at the end of the games?
