Yesterday, marked one month since I put Site Meter on W&C. No surprise that since then I have been quite obsessive compulsive... looking at the who, what, and where... and, of course, the how many!
Here is the chart from this past month:

I have had just under 9,000 visitors and approximately 12,800 page views since December 17th... so an average of just under 300 visitors and just over 400 page views per day... and to make those numbers even more impressive they do not include my own visits and page views (I was able to exclude my computer from "counting" towards these numbers).
I am kind of floored by the numbers and quite happy with the steady traffic... and considering the steep drop it took right around the holidays (though somewhat balanced by the Jan 3rd peak, the day many of us were getting back into our "normal" schedules), I expect those figures will probably increase if I look at things again next month. Also, you can pretty much pick out the weekend dips on the graph.
More gratifying was to see my non-search engine visitors held steady at 25-26% over the past month. I am making an assumption that this is my "core" audience... and while that might not seem like a high number, I think it is actually quite good.
So what have been the most popular searches over the past month?
Immediately shooting to the top of the list were three items: this Ex-Newlywed and soon to be divorcee, the cancellation of this show on Fox, and this Las Vegas casino hotel manager who has been in my Top 5 search hits since August 2004 (yowza!). Lately, many permutations of this former (??) television gardener's name has taken over a few of the top spots on the search hit list.
The word "shirtless" always brings in the crowds, the most popular ones were for: this plumber from Wisteria Lane, this real-life carpenter, and again for that Newlywed guy. Watching my stats, I decided to see if I could spike some searches.. and it worked! I managed to get this fictional stay-at-home Dad into W&C's Top 10 searches.
Country-wise, the USA (needless to say) dominates with 62% of visitor traffic, followed by Canada (6%), UK (4%), and Netherlands and France (3%). Continent-wise, outside North America... Europe accounts for 19%, followed by Asia (5%) and Australia (2%)
Browsers... it's 80% Internet Explorer, 13% Firefox... and then a couple of surprises... 4% Safari (one that I am not terribly familar with), and just 1% for Netscape (my preferred browser prior to Firefox).
Top Operating Systems are: Windows XP (81%), Windows 2000 (6%), and Mac OS X (5%).
So that's it... probably way too much information for most of you... but I still thought I would share!
