Sad news to report... it appears Arrested Development is kaput.

As noted in my sidebar, the show already appeared to be in dire straits after being pulled off the Fox schedule for November sweeps in favor of repeat episodes of the breakout hit Prison Break. But this morning Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fox has cut back its order from a full season of 22 episodes to 13 - all but the pulling of the plug on the critically acclaimed, but still little watched show. The EW piece also notes the demise of Bradley Cooper's Kitchen Confidential.
Will some other network be smart enough to save the show? HBO? Hello?!

Yes, very sad news. I've been in a state of depression all day long.
As for Kitchen Confidential, I think the last episode (the one with John Larroquette) was a huge improvement over the first two. Too bad it won't get a full season to develop further.
