Made it back safe and sound from the East Coast trip...
And we managed to survive NYC... barely!
Let's just say our timing was not quite ideal... if you kept up with the news, you read/heard about the "credible" terror threat on the subway system over the weekend... with a portion of Penn Station (our NYC starting point) being shut down on Friday... fortunately, we were arriving on Saturday...
Unfortunately, also arriving to NYC on Saturday were the remnants of Tropical Storm Tammy. So our tour of the city was accompanied by 4.5 inches of rain... in ONE DAY! I would fathom to guess that there have been occasions when Phoenix has not had that much rainfall in ONE YEAR! However, we still managed to see everything that we had planned on.
More on that later (or tomorrow?!)... needless to say, after being away for a week, I am trying to catch up on a lot of work and personal stuff today.
But, while you are waiting, I will leave you with an "only in New York" picture (snapped on Sunday when it was merely "misting")...
Where else can you see an 8-story high stud when just walking down the street?!

Glad you saw what you wanted to see. I just booked a trip to NYC for work. Unfortunately, it is a Tues/Wed/Thur trip, and I can't get bosslady to allow me to extend over a weekend.
