Not a terribly busy Halloween here in the 'hood, would guess around 50 trick-or-treaters - so definitely some leftover candy for us. There was one memorable moment for the evening... here is the exchange:
[ding dong]
Group of 4 children: Trick or treat!
Me: Hello (deposits candy into bags)
Girl: Why is no one doing dry ice anymore?
Me: Ummm... I don't know...
Girl: It's easy you just get some dry ice and put water on it...
Me: Okay...
Girl: Storms off (without a "thank you" to the best of my memory)
WTF? Criticize the candy (which I thought was just fine... M&Ms, Baby Ruth, Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger), but get all bent out shape over special effects? Heck, we had to jack-o-lanterns (granted they were plastic and lit with a light) heck that was at least something!? And heck if she knows it is dry ice ... and not fog or smoke or whatever... what does it really matter?!
On another note... Oy... are you getting nervous about election day? I am trying not to get too stoked over the latest Electoral prediction: Kerry 298, Bush 231... eek! Pretty please?! Probably going to get to the polling booth bright and early tomorrow... hoping the lines won't be too crazy... work is continuing to be a challenge prior to our get-out-of-town on Thursday date.

Geez, ungrateful buggers eh?
We had two 17 year olds. I wasn't doing the giving for that group or I'd have told them to get lost. Or maybe not. They might have soaped our vehicles or worse.
