As I did last week, I think I will just breeze past last night's Veto Show from BB5. Brilliant! Have to say that I enjoyed Jase getting a big serving of "just desserts." Granted I was feeling a tad bad for him when he was failing to realize what was really, but that's the fatal flaw of hubris at work. I did not think it was a great idea to let Drew win the Veto competition... he had me worried (or at least the editing did), but it was nice that he has totally left the "dark side"... though granted the "good" folks are turning bad pretty quickly... Adria and Natalie talking about going after the "single births"... creepy! :-)
Onto TAR and last night's episode entitled: "Why Can't We Get A Camel?"
Mirna, Mirna, Mirna
I know this is the team that you either love or hate...but Mirna is making things harder and harder. The cab thing was crazy. Mirna called Colin & Christie "maniacs" and spoke of the situation as "junior high" antics. This coming from a person/team who plotted to steal a cab and then didn't want to budge when they got in it while the other team still had their luggage in the trunk. Ms. Pot meet Ms. Black. Wacko! The team also stumbled this week for what seemed to be the first time. Shall we just go ahead and blame Mirna who whined her way through the goat and archeological dig tasks?
It's Getting Hot in Here...
As I mentioned last week, I was already getting a lot of search requests looking for shirtless pictures of a certain God-fearing boy model. I look around this morning in hopes of satisfying the masses clamoring for said shots, but could not find any...but will keep a look out. Though I have to wonder what the big deal is? While there is certainly nothing wrong with his upper body, I thought it was a little on the skimpy side. Heck, I can even give him some competition in that department...and folks, that ain't saying much!
Kami & Karli
Entertainment Weekly writer Marc Vera has dubbed them the "blunder twins"....good one, wish I had thought of it...at least they admit to being clueless pretty much all the time.
Off Site Philimination
What's there to say about Marshall & Lance. While I felt sympathy for poor Marshall, I was praying (as were probably Brandon and Nicole, who apparently have a direct line to the Big Guy) they would get eliminated. 20 minutes in I was already tired tired of hearing and watching it all. I have mixed feelings about their exit - pretty much it was the timing. Not good that they did not complete the roadblock once they had figured out they were the last ones there. And did Phil seem pretty pissy about it or what? If they found the scarab and Marshall then couldn't get off his chair -- then I say fine quit the race (heck, even before that point I was thinking they should have thrown in the towel). But quitting when they did screamed "sore" losers - literally and figuratively. And what was with the t-shirt and caps promoting their pizza restaurant?! Surprised that was allowed at all.
[UPDATE: Caught Marshall & Lance on The Early Show (thanks TiVo!)... so Marshall had acute tendonitis in his knees...never had it before the Race and has not had it since. They were wearing their restaurant attire...and given pass show clips, I guess they had been wearing them all along! I just noticed it last night. They really ripped into Charla & Mirna... calling them arrogant and rude, but conceding that they are "not dumb." Said they were at "the dig," for two hours before calling it quits.]

Interesting that they were digging for two hours ... I know that TAR really does some editing to screw with the time, and I know that this is just part of the game of reality tv, but sometimes it drives me crazy. This year, I have really been paying attention to the departure times, as that's the only time that you truly know what's up. Often, they will make something look like a squeaker when really a team was a half hour ahead of another.
